Greensteds International School

Welcome to Greensteds International Junior School !

At Greensteds Junior School we are proud of our community. We are proud of how we work together and consciously work hard on this. We are keen to develop and improve together as One School. We are values based. As Roald Dahl said “Kindness is the number one attribute in a human being. To be kind - it covers everything.”  Our half termly assembly themes are based around values we wish the children to live by; perseverance, honesty, respect and trustworthiness.
Our Junior School is a special place and a huge amount happens here. The pupils are taken on a thorough educational journey by a hugely dedicated staff team in order to provide the best opportunities for each and every pupil, allowing them to develop to the best of their potential. Greensteds is a non-selective school but on average we are still achieving higher grades at end of Key Stage 2 in Reading and Writing than schools in the UK. Children are challenged, taught to think, taught to inquire, and to be interested in all they attempt to do. Too much goes on at Greensteds to tell you about here and only by visiting us will you really understand what a special place this is. Set in Kenya’s Rift Valley, the children could not be in a more beautiful setting in which to inspire their learning and living.
I know that choosing the right school for your children is the most important decision that parents will make. A visit to our school will show you exactly what we can offer.
Do book a visit to view our school; I look forward to introducing you to our children and staff so that you can see for yourself.

Jeremy Freeman,

Head of Greensteds Junior School

Our Principal Aims:

  • To provide a secure environment in which the children may work to their fullest individual and collective potential.
  • To ensure a consistently high level of interactive and hands-on learning takes place throughout the school through quality planning, preparation, teaching and assessment from the teacher.
  • To encourage a sense of community and foster mutual understanding and respect in a multi-cultural environment.
  • To enable confidence and full self-expression in each child whereby communicative relationships are greatly encouraged.
  • To enable children to take responsibility for their own conduct as well as to support and encourage their peers.
  • To encourage social graces, courtesy and consideration of each other.
  • Here are some quotes from our current parents:

“We would like to report that we are very impressed by our daughter`s progress in school. She has become more confident, assertive and organized. We are also happy to know that she has settled in well to the point of getting the Headmaster’s Distinction. We are very glad to have made the choice to enroll her into the Greensteds family.”

“I am very happy to hear that our son has been awarded with a Headmaster's Distinction for his efforts at school, I am sure that this has all been possible through your dedication and your staff's efforts in bringing the best out of your students. It is my hope that he will carry on working with the same interest that he has shown so far.”
