A bright, spacious and airy library with magnificent views over the valley provides the needs for all pupils in the senior school. For those who want to relax there is a comfortable lounge area where individuals can peruse magazines or catch up with the latest news. A growing fiction section provides novels for all tastes and ages, and is well used as pupils are encouraged to have a book to hand at all times.
In addition, there is a wide selection of non-fiction which offers an introduction to various areas of knowledge and also enables students to extend their understanding of the courses that they have embarked upon. As with other parts of the school, the library has wireless connection to the internet and many pupils use this facility to further their studies. A bank of desktop computers is provided also, on which pupils may access the web and also view individually DVDs and other software.
With its generous opening hours pupils can access it both during the school day and also in their personal time. A trained and experienced librarian is on hand who can provide guidance and help. The library is very much part of school life and plays a substantial part in the annual Book Week.
